32nd Annual Vanguard - Albany Symphony Designer Showcase

32nd Annual Vanguard - Albany Symphony Designer Showcase

This is a first for me. I am honored to have several of my paintings selected by talented local designers Richard Mare of Downtown Designs and Amy De Biase of Bliss Gifts and Home Décor, for the 2012 Vanguard Designer Showhouse. Both designers are located on Jay Street in Schenectady. They donate many hours of their time, materials, and expertise in creating beautiful rooms to showcase for this event.

The annual Designer Showhouse is the major fundraiser for the Vanguard-Albany Symphony and is held over a three-week period each spring. An admittance fee ($18) is charged for visiting the Showhouse with free parking a few walking steps away. Vanguard-Albany Symphony, Inc. is an organization committed to supporting the Albany Symphony Orchestra (ASO) as a cultural treasure for the Capital Region.

Visitors to past Showhouse events have enjoyed seeing both historic homes in which beautiful decorative features from the past have been preserved and also newly built homes exhibiting fine craftsmanship of our own time.

The Vanguard is stepping into a new territory with the 32nd annual Designer Showhouse "Urban Elegance", at 17 Chapel Street, Albany, NY. This year they will have the challenge of beautifying new condominiums built according to the latest building standards and room layout and size. The Showhouse will dazzle you with the beauty of 21st century condominium living. This historic building has been renovated to house 24 boutique condominiums.

"Urban Elegance" invites you to view three distinct floor plans ranging from 1,700 to 2,100 sq. feet. Each spectacular "home" surrounds you with beautiful design elements and magnificent views of the Albany architecture and Hudson River. Richard and Amy are decorating the Great Room of "Condominium #504 - The Capital" and my paintings are part of their design.
